Because it gives me a responsible way to social network with my parents.
Currently, my parents have friended me on Facebook, followed me on Twitter, and listed me as a connection on LinkedIn. Not engaging is not an option.
G+ lets me divide the stuff I put online into things that are explicitly for my family, things that are not for my family, and things that I don’t about. Nothing else...
